COVID-19 Precautions and Procedures
COVID-19 Prevention
RRRC New Runners Program will have precautions and procedures for preventing the spread of COVID-19 and protecting the health of all participants, coaches, volunteers, and the community. The requirements may include: 1) appropriately wearing a face mask during the pre-run meeting time, after finishing the run, any time social distancing cannot be maintained, and when directed to wear a mask by a head coach or coach; and 2) maintaining social distance of at least 6 feet or more from other New Runners Program participants and volunteers at all times. Details of RRRC New Runner Program's COVID-19 precautions and procedures will be shared with runners before the first session.
Runners at increased risk for COVID-19
Participants at increased risk for COVID-19. Per CDC guidelines the following groups are considered to be at a higher risk for contracting COVID-19. If any of these apply to you, we ask that you take the increased risk into consideration before registering:
- CDC high risk age threshold (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/need-extra-precautions/older-adults.html)
- Those who are immunocompromised or undergoing treatment for an ongoing disease such as cancer, HIV, liver, or heart disease (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/need-extra-precautions/people-with-medical-conditions.html)
- Those with moderate to severe asthma
