Join us for our 4th annual Walk Home at Boys Hope Girls Hope, a family-friendly event with options for everyone—a 5k run, a 1-mile fun walk, or a 1-mile fun run. No matter how you participate, it's going to be a fantastic day in the Garfield MetroParks, all in support of under-resourced pregnant and parenting women in our community!
Events like The Walk Home support the transformative work of Haven Home in the Slavic Village community. We will have raffle baskets, games for the kids, and post-race snacks and drinks. Can’t attend? Consider making a donation instead! Make a Donation Now
Event Day Timeline
- 1:00 PM - Checkin Begins
- 2:00 PM - Chip-timed 5k Run/Walk Begins
- 2:05 PM - 1 Mile Walk Begins
- Awards and refreshments will follow!
Run/Walk Route
- Start at the Rock Community Church Parking Lot
- Turn left onto Garfield Blvd
- Enter the Multipurpose Trail after Turney Rd
- Follow the outside loop clockwiseWater stop will be off the trail near the Garfield Park Red Oak shelter
- Exit the loop on the Multipurpose Trail
- Enter the road before Turney Rd
- Continue on Garfield Blvd
- Turn right into the Church Parking Lot to finish
