This year's UnWINEd 5k will have BRAND NEW & Updated feel to it!
We listened to your suggestions and what YOU think would make this event an even BETTER event than it already was!
WE IMPLEMENTED ALL THREE OF YOUR IDEAS!!
 

1. We took the HILLS OUT! 

We changed the course so that you DO NOT have to run up the BIG hill on the Parkway Trail. Many runners wanted an ez 5k for a Friday evening run (We know that they're really coming for the wine & free concert:-)
This year, runners of the UnWINEd 5k will now be treated to a FLAT and absolutely BEAUTIFUL scenic course through the farmlands of Delaware Valley University and then finish on the BRAND NEW APPLE ORCHARD LOOP!!! (The Apple Orchard loop was debuted at Pick Your 10 in September 2018 to RAVE REVIEWS!...Now you get to run it!)

2. We will now give you a FREE GLASS OF WINE after the race! 

For the past two years we have given you the choice of a free Uncle Dave's Ice Cream or Micro Brew and this year we are adding a glass of vino to that choice!!!

3. We are adding a TRAIL RUN to the mix! Scoogie Events FIRST TRAIL RUN!
The Terra Vino 5k! 
The BRAND NEW Terra Vino 5k will CHALLENGE YOU!

~This trail run can be done by ANYONE at pretty much any age...It's an absolute BLAST!
~It is NOT too extreme for anyone.
~Although, there ARE challenges along the way such as steep hills, fast turns, perhaps fallen trees to jump over and hopefully some MUD!!
~It IS HILLY.
~You will LAUGH along the way! You'll challenge yourself on some nice hills & fast turns! You'll hopefully have some MUD on you at the finish line!
~And best of all you'll feel very accomplished and will enjoy your vino, micro brew or ice cream once you cross the finish line!

OK, SO LET'S JUST TAKE A MINUTE AND IMAGINE HOW THIS AWESOME EVENT IS GOING TO PLAY OUT:
Imagine this: You've had a long work week, you're ready to unwind a bit....You come to the beautiful & festive Market at DelVal on a spectacular Spring early evening with good friends & family. You first watch the kids run the 1/2 mile Grape juice Run with beautiful strawberry fields & apple orchards in the background. You then hug your adventurous friends & loved ones that dare to venture into the woods for the brand new Terra Vino 5k and you line up to begin the beautiful flat UnWINEd 5k through the gorgeous Delaware Valley University farm lands and Apple Orchards :-)
You then run a 5k through the magnificent country side of Delaware Valley University in Bucks County or famous X Country trails of the famed Delaware Valley University X Country team plus some great hills and hopefully some mud. Then, after getting a well deserved "most awesome UnWINEd finisher's medal", you kick back & unwind with a complimentary Uncle Dave's Ice Cream or local micro Brew or glass of wine and listen to the sounds of live local musicians and the joyful giggling & laughter of children & adults alike playing lawn games in the background. 

Does it get any better that that?


We will need to limit the runners to 600 (350 UnWINEd 5k'ers & 250 Terra Vino 5k'ers) so that everyone will be able to comfortably enjoy the courses as well as the outdoor wine concert & festivities.

Please sign up EARLY as we anticipate reaching this 600 runner cap by MID APRIL. (At which point we simply cannot accept any new registrations)

The Kids Grape Juice Run is a 1/2 mile FUN run that will begin promptly at 6:45pm on the beautiful Farm View Road along the strawberry fields of Delaware Valley University.

Both the UnWINEd 5k & Terra Vino 5k will begin after the kid's run promptly at 7:00 pm AT THE SAME TIME!!
THIS IS COOL: BOTH races will start at the same time right next to each other...one race heading out on the road and the other heading into the woods :-)

If you've ever experienced a Scoogie Events race before, you know what you are going to be treated to....Scoogie Events holds nothing back to make sure that EVERY runner is happy, from the finisher's medals for all runners (including the kid's!), the top of the line tech tee, free Uncle Dave's ice cream or a micro brew or a glass of wine, inflatables & games for the kid's and host of other amenities that are all aimed at making sure that YOU have a great time....you will be hooked.

Once the first 100 has been reached, the price will be $30 until Jan. 31.

Many folks have been asking if we are giving age group awards in five year increments (versus ten year)....NOW we are!! From now on, ALL Scoogie events age group awards will be in FIVE YEAR age increments!!

No mailing of awards or shirts. If you have to leave the race early for ANY reason, you must notify us to save your award.  If you do not, we cannot hold/store awards and will likely be given to a race day entry or someone else. It is simply too much to hold/store & inventory the awards. 
Note: If you are registered for this race and you registered in time to choose a t shirt/1/4 zip size BUT you are unable to run for whatever reason, you will NEED TO CONTACT us BEFORE RACE DAY and let us know if you'd like us to hold on to your reserved giveaway (t shirt or 1/4 zip) for you to pick up at a future Scoogie Event. If you do not do this, we cannot hold you shirt and it will be given to someone that registered after the deadline. We cannot mail shirts.
