Description
On May 21, The Mountain View School District is holding a 5K walk/ run to benefit the American Cancer Society. Regardless of age or fitness level, all can participate in the event by either walking or running the picturesque 3.1 mile trail used by the cross country team around the grounds of the high school. Medals will be given to the top male and female finishers in various age groups. In addition, there will be a short fun run so even the very young can participate. Survivors are also invited to participate and cheer on our runners and walkers or do the 5k themselves!
In the past, the district hosted a very successful Relay for Life. Thanks to the support and generosity of the community and business owners the Mountain View Relay for Life raised more than $60,000 over two years. This year, the committee decided to run the relay every other year with a smaller scale event in between.
