$40 turning 40 Fund-Raiser

My Dear Friends,

I am turning 40 this year!

As if that wasn't scary enough, I also have to get my first mammogram to screen and protect myself from the risk of Breast Cancer.  Mammograms and screening help raise survival rates through early detection.  Having had my own scares with ovarian cancer in my twenties, I know the fear, the threat, and the disease is real and it is always close to home.  As a member of the Susan G. Komen Philadelphia Young Professionals Committee I am asking for your help.  

I am personally donating $40 (instead of celebrating my birthday) to help other women in need of mammograms.  I am asking for your support in this endeavor.  I am trying to raise $4,000 during the 40 days leading up to my 40th birthday (August 8, 2018 through September 18, 2018).  I'm asking for 100 people to join me in giving $40 each to meet this lofty goal.  So, how about it?  Skip one night out and help give someone a chance at survival.

Please give what you can to help me reach this goal as every dollar helps this great mission continue. 

HOW YOU ARE HELPING:  Thanks in part to Susan G. Komen’s investment in research in early detection and treatment, breast cancer mortality (death) in women in the U.S. declined by 39 percent from 1989-2015 [128].
