Description

Are you ready for a HOWLing good time? Come Join us for a creepy jaunt around the mountains near Linn Run State Park. Your legs will HOWL as you transverse less then 1800 ft elevation, but don’t let that fool you, your quads will SCREAM from the highly technical sections.  Find your way through mountain streams, along old abandoned rail beds, climb some serious ankle breakers, then can you out run the wolf? As you are required to complete the first 18.5km in under 3 hours. Don’t worry we have some silver(mine trail) to help you along your way and be careful of the (black) bear (trail) in the rocky gap (trail). Finish your day on the quarry (trail) and finish on some of the most technical downhill trail around, before getting a downhill runners delight of a mile of the best single track anywhere.

This is a deceptively easy looking course.  I promise you it can be fast but as with all trail races, you must respect the course. Just like all Pennsylvania trail runs, there are rocks, and these rocks don't move and aren't big, but big enough they will roll an ankle if you aren't careful. Just a warning as well, you will want to run a lot of this course, and you should but from mile 17-18 is VERY narrow with lots of loose rocks and roots. While I plan to leaf blow this and a few other sections, it is the end of October and you know there will be leaf litter. So save your legs you'll be able to run again the last mile.  Good Luck and hope to see you there.

Cut off date to be guaranteed a shirt is October 8th. We will do our best after that date, but the printers need time as well.

NEW: We have a giveaway from Gingerbread Man Running.

Birds Eye View

This is a great bird's eye view of the area where you will be running! While the course doesn't take runners on the out and back trail to Beam Rocks, you definitely should take some time after the race to play on the rocks and take in the views!
