RELEASE, WAIVER OF LIABILITY, AND PARTICIPANT AGREEMENT Dogventure Photo Challenge — My Dogventure
In consideration of being accepted as a participant in the Dogventure Photo Challenge, I, the undersigned, intending to be legally bound, hereby waive and forever release any and all rights and claims for damages or injuries that I may have against My Dogventure, its owners, RunSignup.com, and all of their agents, sponsors, representatives, volunteers, and employees for any and all injuries to me, my dog, or my personal property. This release includes all injuries and/or damages suffered before, during, or after my participation in the challenge.
I recognize, intend, and understand that this release is binding on my heirs, executors, administrators, and assignees.
Nature of the Event The Dogventure Photo Challenge is a self-directed virtual photo challenge completed at a location, time, and pace entirely of my choosing, without on-site supervision, event staff, or designated course. I understand that my participation may take place over multiple days or sessions and may include outdoor walking, hiking, or other physical activity with my dog.
Assumption of Risk I understand that participating in walking, hiking, or other physical activities with my dog is potentially hazardous and that I participate voluntarily and entirely at my own risk. I should not participate unless I am medically able to do so and my dog is physically capable of the activities I choose. I assume all risks associated with my participation, including but not limited to falls, weather conditions, traffic, terrain, dog behavior, encounters with other animals, and any other hazards that may be encountered while participating independently at my chosen location. I acknowledge that I am solely responsible for choosing when, where, and how to complete my participation safely.
Responsibility for Dog I acknowledge that I am solely responsible for the behavior, safety, and wellbeing of my dog during all participation activities. I confirm that my dog is current on all required vaccinations and is under my control at all times during the challenge. I assume full responsibility for any damage, injury, or incident caused by or involving my dog during participation.
Medical Responsibility In the event of an illness, injury, or medical emergency arising during my participation or that of my dog, I understand and agree that I am fully responsible for obtaining any necessary medical or veterinary care and for payment of all associated costs, including but not limited to medical transport, medications, treatment, and hospitalization.
Legal Compliance I acknowledge that I am responsible for complying with all applicable local laws, rules, leash laws, park regulations, and safety guidelines while participating in the Dogventure Photo Challenge.
Photo and Media Release I grant permission to My Dogventure and its representatives to use my name, likeness, voice, and any photographs or images I submit in connection with the Dogventure Photo Challenge in any photographs, publications, social media, digital content, or other print or electronic recordings for promotional and community purposes. I understand that photos shared publicly using the challenge hashtag #DogventurePhotoChallenge may be reshared by My Dogventure on its social media channels and website. I confirm that I have the right to grant this permission for any images submitted that include other individuals or animals.
Swag Fulfillment I understand that for Swag Edition registrations, the included shirt shirt and any purchased add-ons will be shipped to the address provided at registration within 3 to 5 business days of registration. I acknowledge that shipping is available to US addresses only for Swag Edition registrations. I understand that once an order has been fulfilled and shipped, My Dogventure is not responsible for lost, stolen, or undelivered packages beyond providing available tracking information. I confirm that it is my responsibility to provide an accurate and complete shipping address at the time of registration.
Refund and Entry Policy All registration fees are non-refundable. Registrations are non-transferable. My Dogventure reserves the right to modify challenge details, photo prompts, reward structures, or other event elements without prior notice. In the unlikely event that the challenge is discontinued, My Dogventure will make reasonable efforts to notify registered participants. I understand and agree that my registration fee is non-refundable under all circumstances.
Referral Rewards I understand that referral reward fulfillment, including registration fee refunds and gift card rewards, is subject to verification of qualifying referrals through the RunSignup platform. My Dogventure reserves the right to verify referral activity and withhold rewards in cases of fraudulent or manipulated referral activity.
Participants Under 18 By submitting this registration, I confirm that I am 18 years of age or older, or that a parent or legal guardian has read, understood, and agreed to this waiver on behalf of a minor participant.
Agreement By completing registration, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agreed to all terms of this Release, Waiver of Liability, and Participant Agreement in their entirety.
