I know that participating in a road race is a potentially hazardous activity. I should not enter and run/walk unless I am medically able and properly trained. I assume all risks associated with participating in this event including but not limited to falls, contact with other participants, the effects of weather including high cold, heat and humidity, the conditions of the road and traffic on the course, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. Having read the waiver and knowing these facts, and in consideration of your accepting my entry, I for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Lynchburg, Riverside Runners Inc., the City of Lynchburg, and all participating sponsors, their representatives and successors from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in the event even though the liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons names in this waiver.

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), senior citizens and people with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable. By signing this waiver and attending this event, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

By submitting this entry, I acknowledge (or a parent or adult guardian for all children under 18 years) having read and agreed to the above release and waiver.

I also authorize the use of photographs or videos that include my image for promotional, informational, or other reasons deemed to be in the best interest of the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Lynchburg.

I also understand that entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
