Course monitors and aid stations will be located sparingly along the route and have limited supplies. We expect you to carry your own food and hydration.

This course is an out-and-back trail race, beginning and ending at Palo Corona, with a turnaround at the Whisler Wilson Overlook. You should aim to finish the course within 6 hours.

Total elevation gain: Approximately 1,200ft.

Backcountry access to Palo Corona Regional Park is not offered to self-guided hikers, so this is a unique opportunity to explore these conserved lands.

This is course begins and ends at Palo Corona, looping through the Mitteldorf Preserve, up to the Lunch Bench, and back out. 

Total elevation gain: Approximately 5,300 ft. 

The Mitteldorf section of the course is publicly accessible through a reservation system at bigsurlandtrust.org. The Palo Corona backcountry is not open to the public, making this event a very special opportunity to experience these conserved lands.
