By accepting this entry, I, the participant, declare that I am voluntarily participating in the event and hereby release and discharge the Event Director, Brad T. Quinn, COW Running, LLC, RunSignup.com, Granite Peak Ski Resort, Midwest Family Ski Resorts, their agents, sponsors, volunteers, and employees from any and all liability for damages or injuries I may incur. I understand that this release encompasses injuries sustained before, during, or after the event, and it applies to my heirs, executors, administrators, and assignees.

I understand that skiing, including snowboarding, involves risks that may cause serious personal injury that may have lasting consequences or death and that injuries are a common and ordinary occurrence. Risks may include,, changes in terrain, weather and snow surfaces, ice, moguls, bare spots, rocks, stumps, debris, fences, posts, trees, lift equipment and towers, the operation of chairlifts, and chairlift loading, riding, and unloading operations, including the presence or absence of restraint bars on the chairs, light poles, signs, buildings, ramps, roads and walkways, terrain features, including rails, boxes, corrugated pipes, cylinders, dance floors, wall rides, rollers, and table tops and other jumps, including their height, the location of the start point, and the angle of their approaches and the angle and length of their take-off ramps and landing areas, and other terrain features, padded and non-padded obstacles, snowmaking, grooming, and snowmobile equipment and operations, and collisions with other persons and other natural and man-made hazards, including collisions with people and obstacles adjacent to and off the skiable terrain, such as snowmaking pipes, hydrants, guns, wands, and other snowmaking equipment, rocks and trees, and improperly-adjusted and malfunctioning equipment (collectively the “RISKS OF SKIING”).

I acknowledge the RISKS OF SKIING can be greatly reduced by taking lessons, abiding by the Skier Responsibility Code (known as Your Responsibility Code), obeying the Wisconsin Skier Safety Act, and using common sense.

In consideration of the purchase of a day pass for Granite Peak and use of its facilities, I RELEASE AND FULLY DISCHARGE GRANITE PEAK CORPORATION, its owners, officers, shareholders, agents, and employees (collectively, the “GRANITE PEAK RELEASEES”) from any liability resulting from any personal injury to myself, including death, which is caused by any NEGLIGENCE of any Granite Peak RELEASEE with respect to the RISKS OF SKIING.

I accept full responsibility for any personal injury which may result from the RISKS OF SKIING, including death, and I hereby HOLD HARMLESS the GRANITE PEAK RELEASEES for any personal injury sustained by me, including death, caused by the NEGLIGENCE of any GRANITE PEAK RELEASEE while participating in the sport. I agree not to bring any action or lawsuit against any GRANITE PEAK RELEASEE for any personal injury or death caused by the NEGLIGENCE of any GRANITE PEAK RELEASEE.

In accordance with Wisconsin law, nothing in this Release should be construed as releasing, discharging, or waiving any claims I may have for reckless or intentional acts on the part of any GRANITE PEAK RELEASEE.

In the event I am signing as a parent of a minor, I represent I have full authority to do so, realizing this Release is binding upon the minor as well as myself.

I HAVE CAREFULLY READ THIS DAY PASS RELEASE OF LIABILITY, HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO ASK QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS RELEASE OF LIABILITY, AND UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENTS. I AM AWARE THAT BY SIGNING THIS RELEASE OF LIABILITY, I AM WAIVING CERTAIN LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING THE RIGHT TO SUE GRANITE PEAK RELEASEES FOR CERTAIN CLAIMS.

CAUTION: READ BEFORE SIGNING! THIS DOCUMENT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS AND WILL BAR YOUR RIGHT TO SUE!
PARENT AGREEMENT
I, the undersigned parent or guardian of the above-named minor(s), have read and understand the foregoing Day Pass Release of Liability and, on my behalf and on behalf of my child(ren) or ward(s) named above, I agree to all terms contained therein. In doing so, I agree to RELEASE AND FULLY DISCHARGE GRANITE PEAK CORPORATION, its owners, officers, shareholders, agents and employees (collectively the “GRANITE PEAK RELEASEES”) under the terms described in the foregoing Release of Liability. I accept full responsibility for any injury or damage to my child(ren) or ward(s) including death, which may result from skiing and/or snowboarding at Granite Peak, and I agree to HOLD HARMLESS the GRANITE PEAK RELEASEES for any injury or damage sustained by my child(ren) or ward(s), including death, while skiing and/or snowboarding at Granite Peak caused by the NEGLIGENCE of the GRANITE PEAK RELEASEES. I agree, on behalf of myself and my child/ward, not to bring any action or suit against the GRANITE PEAK RELEASEES for NEGLIGENCE of GRANITE PEAK RELEASEES. I represent I have full authority to sign on behalf of my child(ren) or ward(s) named as Ticket Holder above, realizing that my agreement to the above Release of Liability is binding upon my child(ren)/ward(s) as well as myself.

I acknowledge that participating in a road race is potentially risky, and I should only do so if I am medically able and properly trained. I assume all the risks associated with the event, including falls, contact with other participants, weather conditions, traffic, and course conditions. I waive any claims based on these and other risks typically associated with road races. I agree to follow the instructions of race officials regarding my ability to safely complete the run. I affirm that I am physically fit and have been cleared by a licensed Medical Doctor.

In the event of an illness, injury, or medical emergency during the event, I authorize the Event Director to seek necessary treatment from any accredited hospital, clinic, or physician for my immediate care. I accept full responsibility for all medical services rendered, including transportation, medication, treatment, and hospitalization.

Furthermore, I grant permission for the use of my name, voice, and images in photographs, motion pictures, results, publications, or any other recording of the event for legitimate purposes.

This event follows the standard policy of non-refundable entry fees. The organizers reserve the right to postpone or cancel the event due to circumstances beyond their control, with no refunds issued. They also reserve the right to make changes to the event details without prior notice. I acknowledge that my entry fee is nonrefundable, and bib numbers are non-transferable.

By submitting this entry, I confirm that I have read, understood, and agreed to the above release, waiver, and the no refund policy. If applicable, I confirm that a parent or adult guardian has read and agreed to these terms on behalf of any children under 18 years of age.
