About Us
Run For The Cure was started in 2018 by three Radnor High school students for Dr. Alexis Swinehart’s English class project alongside two amazing teachers! One of them, Francis (Fran) Misener was diagnosed with breast cancer in April of 2017. Fran received treatment through the holiday season with her two young girls beside her, finishing radiation in January of 2018. Since then, Fran has been cancer free and better then ever! Her battle truly fuels our passion for Run For The Cure! The organization was passed down to new high school students in 2021 creating a team of 7 people including 5 students. We are so excited to continue our annual race this October 15th to raise money for breast cancer awareness and we hope to see you all there!!
