Athlete Guide

The Annual Tea Party Distance Classic and Run for Radcliffe is almost here! This annual event is one of our largest fundraisers for the Radcliffe Creek School, and one that promotes the health and well being of not only our students, but of our families and supporters.

In hopes to alleviate any questions about the event, we have put together the following information. Please take a few moments to review the information and let us know if you have any additional questions.

Registration

Online registration will remain open at www.runsignup.com/TeaPartyDistanceClassic until THURSDAY (5/26) at midnight, so please let your friends and family know. Be sure to share our social media posts from our Facebook page and our event page.
Registration will also be available at Radcliffe Creek on Friday from 3:30- 5:00 p.m., or starting at 6:45 a.m. on Saturday at Wilmer Park in Chestertown. Registration will be $65 after Thursday night, so don’t delay!

Packet Pickup

Pre-registration packet pickup will be held at Radcliffe Creek School, 201 Talbot Boulevard, Chestertown, on Friday, May 27, from 3:30-5:00 p.m. in the school library. Race pre-registrants will also be able to pick up their bib numbers the morning of the race at Wilmer Park, starting at 6:45 a.m.

FAQ
1. Where can I pick up my packet?

We have packet pickup on Friday, May 24th, from 3:30 to 5pm at the school (201 Talbot Boulevard, Suite A), as well as Race Morning Packet Pickup at 6:45am at Wilmer Park (413 S Cross Street).

2. Is there a shuttle?

There IS a shuttle on race morning. The shuttle will pick you up, starting at 6am, at the Radcliffe Creek School (201 Talbot Boulevard) and will take you to Wilmer Park and the Start/Finish line. When you are done, be sure to get the shuttle back by going to the US Post Office, on Spring Avenue (near Chestertown’s Fountain Park).

3. Can I just park at the Start/Finish?

Wilmer Park is restricted on race morning. There will be no parking allowed. Please consider taking the FREE shuttle. PLEASE NOTE THAT CROSS STREET, NEAR WILMER PARK, WILL BE CLOSED AROUND 7:30AM.

4. Is the event timed?

The event IS professionally chip timed by our friends at TCR Event Management. Your results can be found right on the Registration Page for the event or you can check your results at the finish line at the results kiosks, upon crossing.

5. What do I need to do upon getting my packet?

With your packet you will find a running number (called a bib) that we need you to pin on the FRONT of your clothing. We ask that you do not fold or bend the bib as there is an electronic tracker on the back. By having the bib on the front, we are able to give you the most accurate timing available and, if we happen to grab photos of you on the course, you will be able to find yourself, thanks to the bib number!

6. What are the age group award ranges?

  • For both the 10 Mile and 5k Option, the TOP 3 will be awarded (to Male and Female, individually) in:
    Top Overall
    14 and Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69. 70 and Over

7. Where do I get my age group award?

Age group awards will be presented at staggered times. The 5k awards ceremony will be at 9:00 am. The 10 Mile awards ceremony will be at 10:00 am.

8. I rocked that run/walk! Where can I see my results?

Results can be found at the top of the page at www.runsignup.com/TeaPartyDistanceClassic
