Registration Questions
- Can I defer my registration?
- Yes, you may defer your race registration for a fee of $15. This deferment is good for one year. To defer, sign into RunSignUp.com and click on the Manage Registration link and navigate to the Defer Registration tab.
- How do you handle registration transfers?
- You can transfer your race to another runner within the same event (i.e. 5K to a 5K). Please send an email to info@legendarysportsgroup.com if you would like to transfer your registration.
- What is your refund policy?
- Sorry, but we do NOT allow refunds for this race.
- Can I register more than one person at the same time?
- Yes, when you get to the payment screen during registration, there is a button at the bottom that says 'ADD ANOTHER REGISTRANT'. Click that and start your next registration. You can pay for all registrations at once.
Event Questions
- When do I pick up my race premium?
- You will pickup your race premium AFTER the race at the post-race tailgate party.
- Will I receive a finisher's medal?
- Finisher medals will be given to runners who complete the 10K, 5K or Virtual Run.
- Are there water stops on course?
- Yes, there will be 3 water stations on the 10K course and 1 water station on the 5K course with water and Gatorade or nuun product.
- Where do I get my bib before the race?
- You can pick up your bib on race day before the race starts at National Harbor. We may also have a satellite pickup location the week of the race.

- Do you mail out bibs prior to the race?
- Sorry, but we do not mail out bibs.
- What is not allowed on course during the run?
- The following items are NOT allowed on the race course:
- Scooters
- Roller skates/blades
- Skateboards
- Pets/Animals
- Motorized vehicles
- The following items are NOT allowed on the race course:
- Can I run with headphones or my cell phone?
- Yes, these items are permitted on the race course.
- Are age groups awards available?
- We will award the Top 3 Overall Male & Female finishers of the Individual 10K and 5K.
- Will the event be timed?
- Yes, the 10K and 5K will be officially timed by Pacers Timing and results will be posted on this website. The 1 Mile Walk is an untimed event.
Fundraising Questions
- What organization am I fundraising for?
- The Alumni Challenge beneficiary is The V Foundation for Cancer Research. Individual and team runners will be encouraged to fundraise for the foundation. 100% of runner-raised money will go directly to the V Foundation. The Alumni Challenge will also donate a percentage of proceeds to the foundation.
- Do I need to fundraise?
- Fundraising is NOT mandatory but it its highly encouraged.
- How to do I get people to donate to me or the event?
- Once you register you will create a individual or team fundraising page with a personal link. You can send that link out to your family, friends and contacts to ask for a donation. Donors will donate directly to your site online and you do not have to collect any money from people. Donors can lookup fundraisers here.
- Are there any incentives to fundraise?
- Yes, we are working with our partners to create some truly memorable experiences for our fundraisers. You will be able to earn incentives based on your fundraising level.
Travel/Parking Questions
- Where do I park at National Harbor?
- National Harbor has various street parking and garages available. Plenty are close to the Southpointe area where our race is held. National Harbor does charge a fee for parking.
- How do I get there?
- Directions to National Harbor can be found on the Travel page of this site.
- Are there places to stay nearby?
- Absolutely! National Harbor has many hotel properties on-site. You can see them and book directly here.
