Purple & Gold Virtual 5k & Kid's Run

JMU Athletics is excited to announce the Purple & Gold Virtual 5K and Kid's Fun Run! The Virtual 5K and Fun Run will be held September 28- October 5 and gives you the opportunity to support your Dukes while staying active. 

The Virtual 5k Race is $25 total and includes a JMU Virtual 5k Race shirt, a print-at-home runner’s bib, and a print-at-home finisher certificate. The virtual 5K race is presented by University Outpost

The Kid’s Puppy Run is $10 total and includes a Kid’s Virtual Puppy Run shirt, a print at home runner’s bib, and a print-at-home finisher certificate. The puppy run is presented by Virginia529

The Duke Dog Dash is $5 total and includes a co-branded JMU bandana for your pup to wear! Sign your dog up to run the virtual race(s) with you and they'll get some cute swag too. The Duke Dog Dash is presented by Ashby Animal Clinic

All who participate are encouraged to print out the free race bib online and write the JMU sports team or person that you are running for. Take a picture pre/post-run and share it on social media using #JMUVirtualRun and #GoDukes and tagging @JMUSports. Click on the link below for a step-by-step tutorial on how to print your race bib:

After completing your Virtual 5k or Kid's Puppy Run during the week of September 28-October 5, feel free to submit your results on this page. You will receive your t-shirt(s) and/or dog bandana in mid/late October after the race concludes. 

Registration for this event and information gathered is handled through RunSignup.com. The race registration costs will be donated to the JMU Duke Club. Please note that this donation is not a tax-deductible gift.
