The Vermont Open Presents the 2024 Banked Slalom

THE 2024 VERMONT OPEN

This is a snowboarding competition. 

The Vermont Open presents The 2024 Banked Slalom; a two-day banked slalom event hosted by Stratton Mountain.

This year's Vermont Open will take place March 9 and 10th, 2024 as a two-day banked slalom event open to 300 riders split into seven age divisions. Each of the seven age divisions will have first, second and third place finishers recognized.  Male and Female will compete and be judged separately. Registration will be capped at 300 riders: 150 riders in 17 years old & under, and 150 riders 18 years old & over (Number of riders per age group may be adjusted based on enrollment.). Note: Helmets are required for all participants, no exceptions!

Riders will give it their all in a downhill slalom course featuring berms, bumps, jumps and rollers twisting down East Byrnes Side. Riders will be individually timed, and the fastest times at the end of the weekend will go home with trophy prizes.

    • Race is based on a qualifying day and then a final 

REGISTRATION FEE:

Race Fee: $115.00 per participant + tax and fee

All VTO participants will need a valid 23/24 Season Pass or daily lift ticket. Lift Tickets are NOT included in the registration prices and must be purchased separately. A 2-day ticket for this event is $50+ Tax. Racer Lift tickets are for participants only.

PRIZES:

Each age division above will be awarded 1, 2, 3 place trophy prize

Saturday, March 9th

7:00-8:30      Check in designated window outdoors at Guest Services

8:30-9:30      Practice on course: 17 and under

9:30-10:30    Practice on course: 18 and over

11:00-2:00    Race starts. Heat 1: 17 and under

2:00-2:30      Short break

2:30-4:00      Race starts. Heat 1: 18 and up

Sunday, March 10th

7:30-8:30     Check in designated window outdoors at Guest Services

9:00-11:30   Finals 2: 17 and under

11:30-12:00 Short break

12:00-2:30   finals 2: 18 and up

3:30             Limited attendance: outdoor prize distribution
