Water Stops

Water Stop 2 - Mile 4.7

Location

NorthEast corner of Seminary and Turtle Creek. Runners will be turning right onto Turtle Creek from Seminary. Tables to be setup on Turtle Creek so it helps the runners know to turn.

Water Stop 3 - Mile 8.5

Minimum met, 4 volunteer spots remaining.

Location

Located in Waterville as the runners turn off the Bridge to River Road. There is a few parking spots on the right side of the road where the tables will be located. Keep runners on River Side of road

Water Stop 4- Mile 11

Location

Located at the municipal building on River Road just before the runners get to Stitt Rd. Across from John's Manville. A small building with a drive area just big enough for a few tables. Keep runners on River Side of Road

Water Stop 5 (half and 5K)- Fallen Timbers Monument

Location

Fallen Timbers Monument parking lot. This serves the 5K and the Half Marathon. The 5K starts at 9:00 and will the first race to this stop.

Details

Runners will be exiting the bridge over route 24 and heading north. Both races will turn left onto the bike trail and head towards the finish. This is a change this year as the 5k used to go straight.

Course Marshal - 5K - 24 Overpass - Mile 1.8 High Priority

Details

Traffic control - Direct cars exiting 24 to watch for runners. This is early in the race so the time span is very short. Also need to keep runners on the right side of the road (run with traffic) so they do not cross the yellow lines. There is a curve just after the bridge where car may not see the runners if the runners try to cut this curve.

Course Marshal - Half - River Road - Miles 9 - 11 Medium Priority

We need three people to be spread out over the 3 miles of the half course from miles 9 - 11. The job is to make sure runners are staying on the right side of the road and not crossing the center line. This section of the course is open to traffic. We do not want on coming traffic to be surprised by a running coming right at them.

Details

Bag drop will be located on the west side of the high school (starting line side) starting at 7:45 at the black Toledo Roadrunners trailer. A 13-gallon garbage bag will be given to each runner at the bag drop area. Runners need to write their bib number on the bag before giving it to our crew to store. If they use their own athletic bag, they must label it with your race number. Organize the bags in the trailer by number groupings.
