Wiregrass Wobble FAQ's
Is this a "live" timed race/event?
This will be a "Live" event held at TAMPA PREMIUM OUTLETS! there is also a virtual option, which you can run anywhere at any time! The "Live" race will be a mass start, so please arrive early and ready to run. The race will start and finish in the same area, in front of the mall's main entrance, so as soon as all the runners are through the start, the timing equipment will be switched over to finish. If you start after this happens (approx 7:05) your start time will default to Gun time. This will add at least several minutes to your recorded time.
Why did the Wiregrass Wobble Turkey Trot move?
FITniche started the Wiregrass Wobble Turkey Trot 5K over 11 years ago with a "coffee and bagels" fun run that ended up attracting more than 150 people, and the tradition has grown ever since. In April of 2020, FITniche moved its retail store out of the Shops at Wiregrass to it's new Flatwoods location a few miles down the road (Now Fleet Feet). Because of this move and a non-compete enacted by a new Shops at Wiregrass tenant and competitor, FITniche Events still wanted to host its race there, but was prohibited from doing so by Shops at Wiregrass management. So the decision was made to move the Wiregrass Wobble Turkey Trot 5K down the road to Tampa Premium Outlets and continue the tradition there!
Benefactors?
Along with the FITniche Philanthropic Foundation, New Tampa Family YMCA was one of the original beneficiaries when the race was first founded. The New Tampa Family YMCA is an important, community organization that does much, much more than operate fitness and recreational facilities. They also provide a rich network of health, wellness and other resources to under-served portions of our community. During the pandemic, for instance, when their facilities were mandated closed to the public for fitness purposes, they provided day-care to many hundreds of children, so that their parents could still work, and they provided healthy meals and food to those in need. We are proud to provide proceeds from this year's race to the New Tampa Family YMCA.
What is the refund policy?
There are no refunds. If you register for the live event and cannot make it, your registration can be switched to the virtual option.
Where do the proceeds go?
Proceeds from the Wiregrass Wobble Turkey Trot benefit the New Tampa Family YMCA and the FITniche Philanthropic Foundation. FITniche Events has hosted this race in the community for years and will continue distributing proceeds locally!

What is included with the race entry?
All registered participants receive a Tri-blend 2023Wiregrass Wobble Turkey Trot shirt (men's, women's, and youth sizes), our one-of-a-kind medal, as well as a traditional custom bib in their event packet. See below for packet pick-up or mailing info.
When can we register?
Now! the sooner the better! You can even register on Race Day, but the price to register will be more and there shirts and sizes are not guaranteed. Shirt size is guaranteed only if pre-registered before November 4th. After that shirts will be available on a first come first serve basis. Please not that some shirts sizes may not be available as race day approaches!

Where and when can I get my packet? Please avoid the lines on race day!
Early Packet Pickups will be held at Fleet Feet Flatwoods (recently moved from The Shops at Wiregrass) now located at 8604 Hunters Village Road, Tampa, FL 33647. Monday-Tuesday, November 20-21 from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. (And Wednesday, November 22 at Tampa Premium Outlets from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.)
Day of race packet pickup will begin at 6:00AM and end at 6:45AM (Race starts at 7AM) Arrive early. There is plenty of parking at the Tampa Premium Outlets but you may need to walk a bit.
Can I have my packet mailed instead?
Virtual Runners can opt in to have their packet mailed starting the week after the race if they choose during the registration process. (There is a $7.00 additional shipping and handling fee.) We will not mail any packet without this fee being paid.
What if I did not show up on race day?
Good news! You will have a week after the event to pick up your packet at Fleet Feet Flatwoods. Arrangement can also be made to have your packet mailed; however, there is a $7.00 addition shipping and handling fee for mailing packets.
