Step up 4 Down Syndrome (FKA The Buddy Walk) is right around the corner.
It is hard to believe that this will be our 13th year that we walking to advocate for Down syndrome and our son, Cameron.
We will walk every year, for Cameron, for us, for our whole family - for every friend that we have made at Broward Gold Coast Down Syndrome Organization - for every one of their beautiful children - and for every new baby that is born into our community. We will walk and help to raise awareness so that our children with Down syndrome are accepted as a wonderfully normal part of a very diverse community. Help us make a difference.
Join us Sunday, October 10th 2021, for our annual Walk and 5k Run event at Markham Park. There will be family filled fun following the walk as well as breakfast for participants. This event is focused on raising money for Broward Gold Coast Down Syndrome Organization, a non-profit parent support group working to enhance the lives of individuals with Down syndrome in Broward County.
In Person 5k (Runners and Walkers)
Our 5k Run will begin PROMPTLY at 7:30am. 5k registrants will receive a t-shirt, finisher medal, and a race bib with BTAG device for timing. Failure to wear a timing chip during the event will disqualify the participant from being scored in the results.
Our walk will begin PROMPTLY at 8:15 am led by individuals with Down syndrome. Lunch will be provided after the walk and run. There will Family Fun, Bounce House, Rock Climbing, Raffles, & MUCH MORE!
VIRTUAL 5K PARTICIPANT
Medals and T-shirts will be mailed out after the event!
We want Cameron's Crew to be the BIGGEST and BEST team walking/running and fundraising this year.
