My nephew Carson and I shared a special bond from the very beginning. My mother often said that Carson, my father, and I seemed to share the same soul. Carson and I simply understood each other. Some of my favorite memories are the many late-night conversations we shared about life, ideas, and whatever was on his mind.
Losing Carson at only 19 years old left a tremendous hole in my life.
I am proud to once again walk in Miracles in Motion and raise money for Johns Hopkins Children’s Center. While we desperately wish Carson’s story had ended differently, our family will always be grateful for the extraordinary care he received there. They cared for Carson not only as a patient, but as a person, and that meant everything to us.
Please consider donating in Carson’s memory and in honor of all the children still facing childhood cancer. More research means better treatments, more hope, and more children getting the chance to grow up and see the futures they deserve.
Please consider making a donation to my page to improve the lives of patients and families receiving care at Johns Hopkins Children's Center!
