I have been a firefighter for almost 18 years. My father was a firefighter before me. I have seen coworkers die from the cancer they developed as a danger of our career. They weren't worried as much about what was going to happen to them, as they were about what was going to happen to their families once they were gone. I know police officers who put on their body armor every day and have the same thought. I know soldiers who have served through multiple deployments. They too want to know their family will be taken care of. Folds of Honor Iowa is one we we can be there for the families of our fallen or disabled military service members and first responders in our state. Please join in the mission and show them that we have their backs and that we will pick up and help their families in this small way.
