Last year, our girl Fly, fka Madison Hippie, found her way into my life shortly after she left the Canidrome in Macau, China. This beautiful creature has changed my entire perspective on how we treat each other, animals, and the planet we live on.
In Macau, Fly, at the age of 8 had been living in a cement cell in filthy conditions for an unknown amount of time. Thanks to Anima and Greyhound Rescue Austin she was able to leave the Canidrome with over 500 of her fellow racers, a fate that 10,000 Greyhounds were not lucky enough to have.
With Fly’s 1st “Gotcha Day” at the end of August, I hope you will join me and my efforts to support the GREY2K USA Education Fund and protect greyhounds from the cruelty of dog racing.
Any amount is appreciated, and will build up my running log :). As always, if you can’t give, please share, spreading the word is just as important!
