Hi friends, 

It’s that time of year again: I’m raising money for the Southeastern Brain Tumor Foundation’s Race for Research in honor of my dear friend, and former roommate, Anna Feyerherm.  After a battle that lasted 21 months Anna lost her battle with glioblastoma (GMB) in October 2016.  Team DenFeyer was created by Anna and Josh to help raise money for brain tumor research.  Any amount helps, and I’m grateful to anyone who has the means to do so. Although I can’t join the team in person this year, I will be attending virtually.  The race is on Saturday, September 20th.

My goal this year is $1785 since 785 is the house address of one of our shared apartments in Atlanta.  If I could reach $1000 though, I’d be thrilled!

This is the team’s eleventh year participating and to date they have raised more than $212K. Last year, the team achieved the $200K milestone and received special recognition with a research grant being named in Anna’s honor. However, the fight is not over and we continue to raise money for much needed research that will continue to benefit families impacted by this disease.  I would give anything just to have one more conversation or share a meal with Anna. Without that being possible I am glad to be part of a foundation that helps support families and patients, while also being able to continue important research.
