Hello and welcome to my fundraising page!

I've teamed up with Semper Fi & America's fund to participate in this year's 2022 Escape from Alcatraz triathlon and raise money to fund their programs.

Military veterans and their families know the sacrifices necessary to accomplish the nation's objectives, creating security and stability for those of us at home.

The photo above is mine, while I was serving, wearing a 95-pound bomb suit designed to save my life on approach to an explosive device and upon exit.  Many service members lost their lives, their limbs, their vision, and their hearing in the last 21 years in the global war on terror.  They answered the call and by doing so put their bodies on the line.

By supporting this program, you too can take a stand and help those whose injuries require constant attention and care.  Semper Fi fund is a lean non profit with 91% of donations going to programs benefiting the wounded service member.  It is my goal to raise $3,500 worth of support and care, and together, we can do that!

Semper Fi  & America's fund Charity Fact sheet I put together

  • Semper Fi fund was founded in 2004 by a group of military spouses.  It has assisted 27,500 service members to date with $270 million in grants.

  • Semper Fi fund supports veterans of all 5 services who in the course of duty have become blind, paralyzed, lost limbs, received 50% burns on the body, severe traumatic brain injury, or life-threatening illness related to agent orange in Vietnam.

  • ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4/4 rating from charity navigator. 91% of donations go to the programs including service member and family support, integrative wellness, and service member transition program.  9% go to running the organization which is an incredibly lean ratio. https://www.charitynavigator.org/ein/260086305.

  • Semper Fi fund fills a gap in Department of Veteran Affairs services by providing timely and personal assistance to wounded servicemembers and their caregivers by cutting through bureaucratic red tape. This helps families navigate the shock and sudden challenges of caring for their wounded service member and from becoming overwhelmed.  Semper Fi fund also serves as a contractor for VA programs such as canine companion.

  • Semper Fi fund programs include service member and family support. Financing during extended hospitalization... childcare, additional travel, and lodging expenses of service member families. Financing adaptive housing and transportation for wheelchairs and other kinds of disability use. Visiting nurse for mental health and wellness. Caregiver support and retreat programs.  Children of service member program helps support their injuries or support their mental health living with an injured parent.  They offer wounded veteran transition services partnering with leading industry companies.  They offer professional counseling, PTSD / TBI support, horsemanship, canine companion, and sports programs.
