Join us for an 8-week training program to get you ready to run, walk, or run/walk any distance of your choosing: a 5K or 10K!
The Uniontown Color Run will be held May 21, 2022 in Uniontown, Alabama.
For many, the 5K (5 kilometers, or 3.1 miles) is the perfect distance goal for someone relatively new to running, and serves as a fun way to get introduced to the world of road racing. It will take some effort on your part, but everything you need to get you ready is included in our training program.
If you seek a slightly harder challenge, we also offer a 10K training program for intermediate runners.
And for those who don’t intend to become runners but simply want to improve their overall fitness, we also offer a walking program to help you train for your first 5K.
This 8-week 10K training program consists of 3 run days per week, with one of those "long runs" increasing in distance. Two days per week are devoted to cross-training, and two days are designated as rest days.
Each run includes an overall mileage goal (not pace-based goal), ranging from 2 miles to 5.5 miles.
