Black Hills Youth Running will not meet this summer due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
We will still offer training opportunities (online) to middle school students that are preparing for the 2020 Middle School Cross Country season.
ABOUT: Black Hills Youth Running offers summer running and fitness clubs for kids entering Kindergarten through 8th grade. The club is held in Rapid City, SD and aims to provide an opportunity for kids to exercise, learn new skills and to provide exposure to the sport of cross country and distance running. Above all else, however, kids tell us they have a lot of fun!
The "training" during these sessions is in the form of fun activities and games. All of our activities target the bio-motor skills athletic skills of Stamina, Speed, Strength, Skill and Suppleness through games, contests and activities.
At the conclusion of each session is the popular, “Mile Club” where kids self-select the number of “mini-miles” they run and then add their work to their weekly training log.
