Social Events:
Thirsty Thursday last week had about 20 people. Due to an email glitch only individuals got the email, not family memberships.
This led to a discussion regarding our use of email with the final result that Pete volunteered to be our eMail Czar. In addition Tod will provide addresses of past members.
June 27th will be the next Thirsty Thursday.
June 20th is the summer solstice - should we do something for this?
Multi-day: Gorgeous day but only about 30 participants. Much discussion on possible alternatives. Constitution Trail 35 year celebration recap: Pete and Bill set up our new tent, talked to lots of passers-by, handed out a lot of old shirts and wine glasses, and ran in to a lot of people who were not aware of our events but were very interested in them (they also clicked the QR codes Tod prepared)
Billing-Sponsorship: Larry Schumacher

Program Report:
Heat wave: Monday June 17th from the Club House. Pete will do an email blast to stir up participants. Cross Country starts this Thursday 6/6 at Parkside, Paul Bliss is Directing.
Kids Run for Fun starts this Friday 6/7. Rich Beal says this is his last year.
Volunteer Report: Tod/Laurie
No updates.
Upcoming LRC Events:
Mitch reported that the course and police are good-to-go for Park2Park.
Dog Days - Parking could be a problem due our usual parking areas being off-limits. Mitch will check with the city, maybe we can get a one day reprieve.
Presidents Report: Tod
345 Members Current, 385 last year, down 40.
Tod reported that we saved quite a bit of insurance money by not having to insure the Multisport swim. Membership bumped up a bit to 351.
Old Business:
Painful Elimination - Still looking for someone willing (and able) to direct this. Stan and Tara have been approached. Tod is also going to contact Jim Street.
LRC tent was purchased and used twice so far (Multi-sport and Constitution Trail event)
New Business:
RunSignup V2 Upgrade - Tod, Larry and Bill met to upgrade the website (Tod did all the work, Bill and Larry just kept track of everything that got wiped out). Over the next few days Tod was able to rebuild the most important content.
Some discussion regarding a request for us to help fund the McLean County Museum of History ‘Save The Santas’. John will contact Paul VanNess about this.
Decided to add a link on the new web site for sponsors.
Tod reported that the majority of Lake Run participants were not LRC members and suggested using FaceBook adds to see if we can stir up a little more participation from non-members. The board approved $500 for this to be used on all 2024 events.
Action items:
Laurie - ask Eric if there’s a way to get emergency contact info on race bibs
Mitch - sponsor banner / talk to Anne about financials and shirts / ask city about parking for Dog Days. Anne, Tod, Tim Rood - name change on bank CDs.
Pete - chief spammer, email blasts for Heat Wave and Dog Days.
Larry - give key to club house to Laurie
John - contact Paul VanNess about the Save The Santas.
Tod - try a targeted FaceBook ad.
Holy rae - include kids fun run sponsors in newsletter (done)
Kevin - work with Patrick to get CT trail map QR codes on the back of the Meg’s Miles posts.
Tod - contact Jim Street regarding Painful Elimination / in next couple hours - blast email about global running day.
