Club Events

In addition to our annual Race Series, the Lynchburg Road Runners Club hosts a variety of free events throughout the year designed to support your training and build community. From fun runs to social gatherings and educational meetups, our events bring together runners of all paces and distances. Whether you're new to running or a seasoned marathoner, there's always something happening to help you stay motivated and connected.

January

New Year's Day Fun Run

• When: January 1, 2026
• Where: Riverside Park
• Time: 9:00 AM

Sleep in a little, then kick off 2026 with our New Year’s Day Fun Run! We’ll head from Riverside Park toward downtown, and when you reach the top of Monument Terrace, celebrate the new year with 26 push-ups or jumping jacks to symbolize the start of 2026. Start the new year the best way we know how — running, smiling, and celebrating together! 

LRRC Fall 2025 Race Series Awards and Pancake Fun Run

• When: January 24, 2026
• Where: First Christian Church (3109 Rivermont Ave, Lynchburg, VA 24503)
• Time: 8:00 AM

Join us at First Christian Church for a morning of running, fellowship, and celebration! The Fun Run kicks off at 8:00 AM, with options to run or walk 1 to 4 miles. After the run, enjoy free pancakes, fruit, coffee, and water in the church’s reception hall. The LRRC Fall Race Series Award Ceremony will begin at 9:30 AM, where we’ll celebrate our runners’ accomplishments. This family-friendly event is free and open to everyone, not just LRRC award winners. Please sign up so we can get a headcount for pancakes!
