Shannon Erickson, an educator and business owner, was first elected to the SC House of Representatives, District 124, in 2007. Shannon believes in building consensus and coalitions through grassroots citizen involvement and smaller, more accountable government. Representative Erickson serves on the House Ways & Means Committee, where she chairs the Transportation and Regulatory Budget Subcommittee. Shannon previously served on Labor, Commerce & Industry Committee as the Regulation Subcommittee Chair and on the Medical, Military & Municipal Committee. She is a pro-business & pro-environment leader and has been endorsed by NFIB, SC Builders Association, the Electric Cooperative Help Organization, SC Citizens for Life, the Beaufort County & Hilton Head Area Realtors Associations, the NRA, the Conservation Voters of South Carolina and the 2016 SC Chamber of Commerce Business Advocate Award.
