Founded in 1865 by William and Catherine Booth, The Salvation Army has been in existence for 157 years and is in 134 countries! We are famous for our "Brass bands" and "Red Kettles" at Christmas, but throughout the year people turn to us for assistance and hope in many ways. We have a distinct and focused mission – to meet human needs without discrimination, any time, any place and anywhere. We love God and others while being a bridge in our community.
