This year, we are hosting a Move to Cure event for STXBP1 awareness—and we’d love for you to be part of it!
We have reserved the shelter at Wheeling Park Playground on October 12. Stop by and say hi, grab a slice of pizza, meet Jamen, and play on the playground between anytime between 11 and 1. Don't forget to snap a pic and tag #TeamJamen! Remember, every little "move" helps us raise awareness and bring hope for a cure.
Whether you stay and play or just swing by for a quick hello, your presence matters.

Jamen is a bright, happy, beautiful little boy living with an STXBP1-related disorder—a rare genetic condition caused by a mutation in the STXBP1 gene that affects his development, speech, and mobility.
Currently, Jamen is not using spoken language to communicate, but he always finds a way to get his point across. He adores people and has an amazing sense of humor. He loves so many things—books, music, swings, dancing, swimming, fireworks, trains... and snacks. He began walking in May and hasn't speed since. Watching him take in the world around him with such joy and wonder is a blessing.
His journey includes daily challenges, but also incredible moments of resilience, growth, and joy. As we Trailblaze Together to find a cure, we honor Jamen’s strength and spirit while raising awareness and support for all families impacted by STXBP1-related disorders. With every step forward, we’re building a brighter, more hopeful future—together.
