The Bill Craig Memorial Fund celebrates the life & legacy of Dr. William H Craig. Dr. Bill Craig touched many lives throughout his lifetime, particularly the lives of his neighbors in the Wilmington community. He was known for and is most remembered by his incredibly genuine character. He easily possessed the characteristics that the rest of us so often strive to embrace….generosity, humility, kindness, sincerity, compassion and love. He was a remarkable individual and one whose memory we are honored to celebrate.
Proceeds from the race and donations from friends of Bill support the Bill Craig Memorial Fund which is an endowment fund of the YMCA. Each year the Bill Craig Memorial Fund Board contributes to youth-serving organizations and in 2017 added a scholarship fund. The friends and family of Dr. Craig are grateful to establish an event that will help us perpetuate his legacy and good works, for they have had quite a lasting impression. 100% of proceeds from this event provide financial support on an annual basis to programs that Dr. Craig supported, especially those involving children in need, including Girls on the Run, STRIDE and Victory Junction Gang Camp.
