Proceeds and donations from this event will directly benefit funding Sinai House in its mission to enable families to move from homelessness to independence by providing safe and affordable housing, comprehensive social services and financial support. Sinai House provides fully-furnished apartments to four families at a time. Programs and professional services are tailored to help each member of the family reach individual goals in finance, education and employment. Sinai House has been supporting its residents with virtual programming during the past year. More alumni have been using the virtual services, both because of their increased needs and the ease of access. Sinai House is launching a new post-residency program this spring, as current residents move out of Sinai House into more permanent housing. Through this program, post-residents will receive a tapering rent subsidy, social services, and help in connecting to the services available to them in their new neighborhoods. This program will double the capacity of Sinai House to serve eight families at a time, four in residence at Sinai House and four alumni living in the community, and will help ensure that departing residents and their families maintain financial independence and thrive in future years.
