We Build Homes for Good - Since 1992, Avalon Housing has worked to end homelessness by developing affordable housing centered on community, care and support. This approach is known as supportive housing. Supportive housing prioritizes the health and well-being of every tenant by providing resources to help them stay—and thrive—in their homes.
We Provide Housing First - People and families experiencing homelessness need immediate, safe and permanent housing. From there, we can meet all other challenges together. Avalon develops and manages properties throughout Washtenaw County. Of the 800 people we serve, 25% are children.
We Offer Support - Avalon’s number one goal is to help people stay in their homes. Our tenants and clients can choose from a wide range of one-on-one supportive services, including case management, help with mental/healthcare systems, parenting and welfare support and more.
We Build Community - Through community-wide activities, Avalon brings neighbors together. Our community resource centers, food pantries, and programs for adults and youth reduce isolation, increase engagement and foster hope.
