Tactical communications and safety overwatch for both races of the Megalodon Weekend: Shark’s Tooth 10K and Shark Fin 5K will be provided by volunteers from the Tamiami Amateur Radio Club (TARC).
Community service is an integral part of the HAM radio hobby. In addition to supporting events such as the Shark’s Tooth 10K, TARC volunteers are active in the Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) organization for Sarasota County and operate FCC radio licensing exams every month.
