Water Station Volunteer

Saturday Water/Gatorade Station @ Caspersen High Priority

March 4, 2024

Details

All supplies provided. You'll report directly to the designated station. Set up tables, the first one for water, the second for Gatorade, far enough from the water table so the volunteers handing Gatorade don't get mixed with the volunteers handing out water cups. (Some runners will pour cups over their head and we don't want them doused in Gatorade!)
When runners start arriving, holler "Water" if you're handing out water and more importantly, the Gatorade volunteers hollering "Gatorade", hand cups to the participants.
When the flow of runner traffic permits, collect the discarded cups into the provided trash bags.
Once the runner traffic is tapering off, not as many cups need to be filled or staged, discarded cups can be picked up, start to clean up and stash unused supplies. Once the designated final finisher passes by and says they're the last one, finish clean up, leave the supplies stacked for our guy to pick them up then you're done and welcome to join us at the Festival Grounds for the post-race.

Location

Caspersen Beach Park in the parking spots at the entrance at the base of the restroom building. About 3.5 miles into the Shark's Tooth 10K course.
