About This Event
The Tri Flake Winter Triathlon will once again, for the Third year, play host to the USAT Winter National Championships, a Team USA World Championship Qualifier! The winter triathlon format includes a run, bike and ski. All on snow, and all based in the main race stadium of the world class nordic center of Kincaid Park.
STOP HERE and read this FIRST! Before registering, please understand that while things certainly feel like they are improving, COVID-19 is certainly not gone.
FIRST, it is each participants responsibility to be aware of all the current State of Alaska COVID-19 info. As well as all the current travel restrictions and requirements if you are coming to Anchorage for this event. It is the participants responsibility to know what they need to do regarding any potential COVID-19 testing and quarantine procedures to help create the safest event possible. THANK YOU!
SECOND, as always, putting on a multi-sport event takes a lot of planning, forethought and investment. The registration numbers are the key to our organizing the best event we are capable of and the most fun for you. Once you register, there are no refunds offered.
THIRD, If the event must be cancelled due to COVID-19 related issues, we will offer all registered participants a deferral to either the 2023 Hammerman, the 2023 Moose Nugget or the 2024 Tri Flake.
Course basics: Race start time is NOON, plan to arrive early enough to get all set up and checked in. The run is an out and back of 6K on the scenic Coastal Trail. The bike will take advantage of the multi-use trail along Raspberry Road, as well as some of the STA single track trails throughout Kincaid for a two lap course of around 13K. The ski will be freestyle format and utilize some of the nordic ski trails in Kincaid Park for a 2 lap course of around 6K. The finish will be in the stadium in front of the timing shack. There will be both solo and 2-3 person team options.
Kincaid Park is located at the very west end of Raspberry Road.
