Description
Join us virtually August 21-24 to celebrate the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge during the 29th annual Run for the Refuge. All proceeds go to the Northern Alaska Environmental Center's Arctic Program. To learn more about the threats facing the Arctic Refuge, go to our website northern.org and subscribe to our email list.
There are so many wonderful ways to be outdoors, and we hope you’ll get inspired to hit the trail, hop on your bike, launch your kayak, or set off on your favorite people-powered adventure. Suggested distance is 3 miles or 5k, but anything to show support of the Arctic Refuge is great.
To make the biggest impact and show of support for the Arctic Refuge, we’d love your help spreading the word far and wide. Get a group of friends together and sign up early! Then join our Facebook Event Page to discuss routes and get inspired. All participants will receive a printable bib, and we hope you’ll share your adventures with #RunForTheRefuge, tagging @NorthernCenter on social media.
Stay tuned to order your Run for the Refuge T-shirt sporting art by Tehya McLeod, our 2025 Featured Artist.
