Description
Please join the Omega Tau Sigma fraternity and the Progressive Paws running club at Auburn's College of Veterinary Medicine in running or walking the Paws for a Cause road race Saturday, April 15th, 2017. All of the proceeds from Paws for a Cause will be donated towards cancer research. In previous years, our donations were given to human cancer societies. This year, we are hoping to donate the funds towards companion animal cancer research. The race will start and finish at Town Creek Park in Auburn, Alabama. Each participant will receive a Paws for a Cause technical racing shirt if they register by or before March 26th, 2017, along with refreshments during and after the race. There will be prizes for the top three males and females who complete the 5k race. Even if you are not a runner, come on out, bring your pup, and support an awesome cause. (Please keep in mind that there may be a large number of dogs at this event, so only bring your pet if they are up to date on vaccines, spayed/neutered, get along well with other dogs/people, and they must be on a leash).
This event will be rain or shine. In the event of severe weather, the race will likely be delayed at first, and then cancelled if the weather persists. We will not be able to offer refunds if cancelled as this event is meant to be a fundraiser. Thank you!
