Description
Thanks to the genuine care for humankind in Florala, Alabama, on Saturday, October 12, 2019, Intersectional Hope School of Fine Arts, Inc. (IHope) will bring together people from all walks of life, and from all over the southern United States, for an unprecedented event in Covington and all of the surrounding counties. We will "Take it to the Street" as we run and walk together to recognize AIDS Awareness Month. This National Day of Recognition and Action for #IHope raises awareness of the goal of education, prevention, and treatment - an ideal that simply states that if we can eliminate the stigma associated with HIV/AIDS, we can work toward eradicating the disease. While there are many ways to achieve this objective, the end result is the same: #IHope.
Taking it to the Street 5K Run/Walk is an event where we are proclaiming that we ALL uphold this ideal. We are ALL in this together. We are, therefore, bringing the community together to state, IHope.
A Run/Walk is not the answer but it is ONE answer. We have re-imagined running for the health of individuals and communities. We have reconstructed what it means to PARTNER for a common issue, and we have done this by partnering with AIDS ALABAMA, as they will provide onsite testing and an educational seminar after the Run/Walk.
…We invite you to lace up and join us in saying IHope.
Can’t join us on October 12th? Then support Intersectional Hope by registering for a VIRTUAL TAKING it to the STREET RUN/WALK, and participate at your location!
