Strides of March 5K Run/Walk

The City of Heflin Parks and Recreation Department and Heflin Main Street are partners in this fun St. Paddy's on Main Event featuring the Strides of March 5K and Fun Run. The 5K route will start and end in beautiful downtown Heflin beside the Heflin City Hall. The route will take runners down Heflin's Historic Main Street and residential streets. It includes Heflin's challenging hills and beautiful lake view. The event's main purpose is to promote health and wellness through fun, family driven activities. Each year we register approximately 200 participants from Cleburne County and surrounding areas.  The Strides of March is later followed by the St. Pawtrick's Day Pet Parade. This parade registers approximately 75 pets of all sizes and types. The animals are dressed in their St. Patty's Day best and paraded down Ross Street in Heflin. The parade finishes up at The Heflin City Hall where ribbons and prizes are awarded. Packet pick up will be at Southern Brew Trading Post in Heflin from 4pm - 8pm. There will be a carb loaded meal available for purchase.  This year both events bring more St. Patrick's day fun! There will be food, music, and children's activities. These events have all been combined into a fun celebration called "St. Paddy's on Main".
