The RunningLane Track Club Youth Program is open to rising 3rd graders - 6th graders who are interested in learning more about the sports of cross country, track and field, and road running.

The Track Club mission is to produce a healthy, encouraging environment and to prepare youth distance runners for youth, middle school, high school competition and beyond.  

What: Summer Youth Running Program
When: June 6 - July 29, 2022
Practice Dates & Locations: All practices on Mondays and Friday.
Grades: Incoming 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th graders
Level: All levels, from beginner to experienced


Mondays & Fridays June 6th through July 29th.  (we will not meet on July 4th)

We will meet in various locations in the metro area. We will send out a weekly newsletter with practice times and locations.

· Monday 5:30PM - 6:30PM - Huntsville West - Space and Rocket Center Trails 5:30PM  (5 Tranquility Base, Huntsville, AL 35805)

· Friday 7:00AM - 8:00AM - Huntsville - John Hunt Park ( John Hunt Cross Country Park, 2151 Airport Rd SW, Huntsville, AL 35801)

Price includes training, shirt, sunglasses, and shoe bag!

Things to bring.....

  • Water Bottle
  • Sunscreen (preferably already on)
  • Proper running attire to include, shorts, shirt, and shoes
  • A towel or Yoga mat for stretching and plyos
  • A POSITIVE attitude!

When school ends and the summer begins, it is time to start thinking about summer activities and plans. For the summer months we want to provide support for young athletes to prepare for their fall sports endeavors. In this program each runner will receive a personal training details suited for their mileage and training needs.

In the 8 week session we hope to provide athletes with a solid summer of fun, training, and education that includes more than just direction in their running plan. We also will provide instruction on warm ups, stretching, injury prevention routines, drills and more. Summer is also a great time for learning. Every couple weeks runners will get to hear from coaches and guest speakers on topics like running in college, nutrition, injury prevention, footwear choices and goal setting.
