As part of the Von Braun Center’s 50th anniversary celebration, we invite you to join us on a commemorative 5k Music Run through the streets of Downtown Huntsville as we race into Huntsville Music Month! 

For 50 years, the VBC has been your place to celebrate, cheer, and of course – sing along to your favorite bands.  During this historic run, local musicians will be showcased along the route – from the starting line to the finish line, and each mile in-between thanks to our friends at the Huntsville Music Office!

All runners will receive an exclusive commemorative medal for participation and additional #VBC50 swag will be included in the race packet at pickup (be sure to register by Monday, August 5th to ensure swag availability).

Online registration ends Wednesday, August 28th at midnight. If the registration maximum is not reached, walk-ups will be allowed to register on race morning from 6:30 - 7:30 a.m. 

So, get registered today, lace up your running shoes and start stretching for this once-in-a-lifetime anniversary race celebrating 50 years of the VBC being your place through time!

COURSE INFORMATION:
The 5k route will wind through the paved streets of downtown Huntsville.    The route is mostly flat, with a few hills and everyone of all abilities is welcome to participate! Please note that we are unable to permit the use of strollers on the course.

The race will end inside the VBC Propst Arena through the rollup doors and will include a short after-party with live music provided by The Juice Band, cash bar and concessions.

• Starting Line: Brandon Elder
• Mile 1: Karmessa Padgett (near Honest Roasters Coffee)
• Mile 2: Tim Cannon (on the square near public piano)
• Finish Line: The Juice Band
