Miles for Matt

There will be both a 1 Mile and a 5K race. The 5k will start at 8am at Marshall Elementary School. 1 Milers will start at 8:05.

From the GoFundMe Page:If you know Matt Pinson, you know that he is one of the most genuine, caring, loving people you can ever meet. He is a hard working Husband and a Father of two beautiful children. He was a highly active and successful marathon runner. But the last few months Matt has faced several obstacles with his health (including his 15th ear surgery) causing excruciating pain, loss of sleep, and depression. After many months of doctor visits, he was recently officially diagnosed with early onset Parkinson's disease at the age of 30 years old. For those who don't know, Parkinson's is an extremely life changing disease. Between doctors, pain, no sleep, kids, and every day life, it has become near impossible for Matt to work as much. Doctors visits are outrageous, especially for this situation. insurance only covers so much, and he just started physical therapy. This has been a very difficult time for his family, but especially for Matt. If you have watched the progression of his health, you know that this is a huge struggle for Matt.. although we can't help his pain, The one thing we can do is help cover a little ground on his medical costs and to make up for work he has to miss. I challenge everyone to help if at all possible. Not having to worry about money is a huge weight off their back, and stress is the last thing he needs in this time. If there is one thing i know about Matt, he is there for anyone and everyone. He will do anything and be first in line to help someone. Maybe we can do the same for him, and bring some positive into what has been a horrible situation. Thank you all so much! -Chris
