Give me 5...Kilometers:
Don't want to drive to Hot Springs to "just" run a mile? Since it's a long way to drive to race a mile so we are going to have a group run after the open category is over to celebrate Adam Brown. We will start at 9:00 am after the mile race is done and begin a fun run 5K to honor his legacy. The course will be marked for those who want to go give it all they got and lead the pack.We will time it old "skool" with Coach Koonce's stop watch. There's no awards or medals, just the honor of running your best for Adam. Also we will have a volunteer to bring up the rear to make sure no "man" is left behind (or woman that is). There will even be an early bailout point (at mile 1) to those who might not quite be ready for the full distance but still want to do a little extra. This route will finish at the parking/awards location and participation is optional. Water will be provided at the half way point. There is no additional charge for this event and it is open to all race participants. The course will not be closed to traffic but it is run on extremely low traffic side roads.
You can support the Lake Hamilton Track and Cross Country Program and travel your mile at the location you choose on Saturday 24th. Runners that submit their results on Saturday, September 24th will have their results posted to the Adam Brown Road Mile FaceBook page! Shirt is included with your virtual runner event and can be picked up on race day or at Lake Hamilton School for up to a week after the race. Unfortunately we cannot mail shirts.
The Kid's Run 1/2:
Kids that are 12 and under can compete on the same course as the adult division by running the last half of the Adam Brown Mile course. Adults may run with their child but will be asked to start in the the back of the field. Awards will be given to for male/female in the following divisions.
School Team Division:
Student athletes must be enrolled at the Junior/Senior High School they represent. Sign up your Junior Boys ($30) Junior Girls ($30) Senior Boys ($30) or Senior Boys ($30) teams individually or you can sign up all 4 teams for $100! Shirts are not included with School Team Registration. Coaches will be emailed to submit their rosters for the race on August 19th, 2019.
Weather policy: We will make every attempt to run the race. We will not run in lightning or other conditions that are deemed hazardous by race officials. In case of cancellation we cannot offer refunds and the Directors will determine if the race can be rescheduled.
