Cancelled

After a lot of consideration, we have decided to cancel the Frontier Days Glow Run this year.

With less than 30 days until race day, we only had 4 runners registered. While River Valley Runners isn’t putting on these races to make money, we also have to make sure we can cover the costs of hosting them.

We’re disappointed because we were really looking forward to this one, but we hope to reconsider the Frontier Days Glow Run for next year’s RVR race series! 🌟

Thank you all for your continued support for the River Valley Runners

About Frontier Day

Frontier Day is a cherished Plainview tradition that celebrates the town's history and brings the community together. Originally started in the 1980s and revived in 2007, the festival was brought back to life again in 2023 by the Plainview AR Community Events (PACE).

This year, we're making the festival even bigger and better! Frontier Day will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2026 and features extended hours and new events. The day begins with our annual parade, followed by a wide variety of activities, including mobile cafes, shopping vendors, and games for the whole family. The festivities continue into the evening with a live concert by Hill Street Blues from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

The Starlight Stampede is a new and exciting addition to the Frontier Day festivities. Sign up and be a part of this memorable event!
