World Down Syndrome Day, March 21st, is a global awareness day which has been officially observed by the United Nations since 2012. On this day, people with Down syndrome and those who live and work with them throughout the world, organize and participate in activities and events to raise public awareness……and we need YOU to help spread the word! Help us raise awareness by participating in our virtual “MOVE a little EXTRA” event by doing an activity for 3.21 miles!!
How to complete your virtual MOVEment for World Down Syndrome Day:
- Register for the “race”
- Complete any type of movement (run, hike, swim, bike, walk, etc..) for 3.21 miles on March 21, 2021 (or any time that weekend)
- Submit photos of your miles (screen shot of your run/walk, picture of the pool you swam laps in, photo of you in your shirt--anything works) to info@dscnwa.com
- Celebrate by posting on social media and tag #MoveExtraDSCNWA
SWAG: Registration includes a T-shirt, DSCNWA hat, bib and many fun EXTRA items!
COST: $32.10 for adults (12 and up) & $21.00 for youth (under 12)
REGISTER by Sunday March 7th
PACKET PICKUP - Swag bag, t-shirt pick-up Saturday March 13th noon - 2:00PM at DSCNWA’s office, St. Mary’s Center for non-profits. If unable to make, email Lindsey Dover to make prior arrangements.
