6th Annual Diabetes Walk
“Stepping for Diabetes 2018”
Diabetes is one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality in the United States. While the disease transcends all racial and ethnic boundaries, it has a high prevalence among minority populations, especially African Americans. Research has demonstrated that diabetes can be prevented through education, exercise, and good nutrition habits.

The event will feature an approx. 2 mile walk/run beginning promptly at 10:00 am (registration begins at 9:00 am). In addition, this annual event will provide a variety of information on health, health screenings, giveaways and other interesting activities – all with the express intent of bringing individuals in our community together to educate themselves on living a more healthier and active life.
Register yourself and\or your team for the
6th Annual Diabetes Walk by May 15, 2018 to receive a shirt. Race registration closes day of race.
