8-year-old Peanut began with wanting to raise money for local charities/non-profits while she trained for a 5K race. The idea grew into organizing her own race, so she could raise more money for causes dear to her heart. Now in its second year, the Peanut 5K will be donating ALL of their profits to Genesis House, which helps the homeless in Siloam Springs, AR and surrounding cities. Runners pushing strollers are only permitted at the end of the 5k (Due to the narrow path) and are also welcome to join during the 1/2 mile Fun Run. Support this local organization and join us for a morning of fun!

*UPDATE - Because of bad weather the race has been rescheduled for May 23rd at 8:30am!*
All proceeds from the race go to Genesis House in Siloam Springs, so no refunds will be given after registration. In event of lightning or bad weather, the race will be rescheduled and we will post an update on Facebook the night before or morning of the race. Registration is from 7:45-8:15 at the Bob Henry Park small pavilion (signs will be up), with the 5K beginning at 8:30am and 1/2 mile Fun Run at 9:30. 5K participants receive a tshirt, if registered before the cut-off date, and Fun Run participants will receive a Mini Medal. When the Fun Run is completed we will have a drawing for some awesome prizes! Please allow time to pick up tshirts and sign a waiver. Shirts are only guaranteed if registered prior to April 25th, to allow time for printing and can only be picked up on the morning of the race (no mailing). The donation option does not include a tshirt but if you'd like to receive thank you note from our fearless leader (Peanut) feel free to email us your address and we'll send one out to you! This is our second time organizing a race, and we're trying to stay true to the vision of our now 9-year old daughter, so there may be some hiccups along the way so contact us at any time. We'll be sure to get back to you within 48 hours. Thank you for supporting Genesis House and our community!
If you prefer to mail in your payment, checks (along with race information: Name, age, email, phone number) can be sent to the organizer and you will need to sign a waiver the morning of the run. Payments must arrive prior to April 26th to guarantee tshirt on race day.
