Benefit Slow Pitch Softball Tournament for Katie Farris. Katie is a 20 year old college student from Vilonia who was recently diagnosed with stage IV Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Katie is currently facing six months of Chemotherapy at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. She is the daughter of Eugene and Liz Farris. The Farris family is active in the Vilonia community and members of the Belmont Chapel Church. Proceeds from the “Caring for Katie” Slow pitch Softball Tournament will be used by the family to help offset the travel and medical costs they will experience in the coming months The “Caring for Katie” Slow Pitch Softball Tournament is scheduled for Saturday, July 13th at 9:00 am at the Vilonia High School Softball Field. Entry fees per team is a minimum donation of fifty dollars, checks can be made out to “Caring for Katie.” The team, or teams who raise the most money will be specially recognized!
