Join the 2026 GMIHC19 Virtual Run/Walk, a month-long, community-driven event honoring the legacy of the 19 Granite Mountain Hotshots and supporting the mission of the Granite Mountain Interagency Hotshot Crew Learning and Tribute Center.

This is more than a run — it’s a shared act of remembrance, strength, and unity.

1 Mile Fun Run/Walk, 5K, 10K or Half Marathon

All registered participants will receive an official event T-shirt as part of their registration.

Each participant will also receive a Digital Race Bib with a unique number. Print it, wear it, or hold it up proudly for photos and sharing.

 
What Is a Virtual Run/Walk?
A virtual run/walk allows you to participate anytime, anywhere, and at your own pace.

Complete your distance:

In your neighborhood
On trails or at local parks
On a treadmill or indoor track
At the gym, mall, or wherever you choose
Walk or run solo or as a team — families, friends, coworkers, schools, first responders, businesses, clubs, and organizations are all welcome.

Why We Run
This event is a fundraiser supporting the Granite Mountain Interagency Hotshot Crew Learning and Tribute Center, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit located in Prescott, Arizona.

The Center honors the lives and legacy of the 19 Granite Mountain Hotshots who made the ultimate sacrifice in the Yarnell Hill Fire on June 30, 2013, preserves artifacts from the original Station 7 memorial fence, and educates the public about wildland fire, firefighting, and prevention.

The Center is proudly operated by an all-volunteer organization.
